I think your being to hard on yourself. Your quilt is very pretty. I think it looks great. You did a good job.

Beautiful job and everything looks lined up to me. I agree with gramqlts, there are no quilt police! I really like the finished quilt a lot.

I don't usually like this pattern but yours is very pretty. Did you re-measure the blocks after you finished each one? I find that they change size, and sometimes, they change shape too, after you get them finished.

I agree with others about the blocks becoming distorted after quilting and I will check out Muvs blog. Your quilt is beautiful.

I'm doing a string quilt as you go right now. I have two rows done but I am not putting the sashing in-between the blocks and rows. I wanted the squares to line up with each other. I sew the front frabric together and then just fold over the backing fabric and machine stitch it down. I saw it on a video and decided that was what I wanted to do. I guess everyone does things differently. Maybe, if I ever do another quilt as you go, I will put the sashing in. For this quilt I think it looks better without.
