The flange binding technique is under tutorials on this site and is really great. I won't try to explain it, but it leaves that little line of colour and it allows you to machine sew it seamlessly to the front. Look it up. I've used it twice now and it's worked really well both times.

Love your baby quilt! Can you tell us what size the colored blocks are and also the size of the blocks joining them? This will be a perfect charity quilt since it will go together so quickly.
