At 4:00 this afternoon I found out that a young woman at a local shelter was expected to give birth tomorrow! When I arrived home at 5:00 I dug into my stash. Came up with a piece of preprinted fabric, added on a border, and had it quilted by 8:00. I had better keep a few quilts ready to go- this is the third baby since I started volunteering there in August.
