A white first border would have made the chain squares look like they were unattached and just floating. Nope, you've done good using the blue border!

Thank you everyone for your kind words on my quilt, I guess we all look at our quilts and wish we would have done something different.. when I got it back from the quilter and put it on the bed it just looked off..but after hearing from all of you that it looks fine it got better each time I looked at it...

It will be sent off to Tenn in the morning to my friend, thanks again for your help on this quilt..
