made this for my son - just had his first baby. it is a card - quilt block is stitched onto a heavy paper. was an experiment and will do better with the next one i might make!

Congrats on your new grandchild! Cute card. I did birthday cards for my daughters a few years ago and thought to share a picture of one with you. This is what I did in case you might want try this in future. I sewed backings on 3 sides of the machine embroidered pictures (wrong sides together), turned them right side out and inserted sturdy cardboard the exact size of the fabric, then hand stitched the openings closed and sewed hangers on them, so they could be hung on the wall.
