I live about 5 miles from Hawk Mountain and I don't take the time to go for hikes

I grew up in Southern New Jersey and my Dad was a big birder .... watching, identifying, banding, Audubon Society, etc. Every couple of years he would take us to what we called Hawk Mountain to see what was flying up there. I am assuming that this is the same place (since I was a kid back in the 50's!)? Thanks for posting this. What great memories you have brought back to me. I'll have to send your photo to my brother too. Lovely wall hanging!
