Quilt I made for cousin's son

Last Christmas, my cousin's son asked if I could make him a quilt. He had seen the one I had made for my brother. I found the perfect fabric for his quilt. He likes video games and paintball. I made up the pattern and came up with this quilt. As you can see from the last picture, he loved his quilt. It's not often a 14 year old, shy, quiet boy will smile and hug his dad's cousin. This was the best part of my Christmas this year.

Great job! That's the best part of making quilts, when you make it for someone who loves it!

"Piecin' a quilt's like livin' a life...The Lord sends us the pieces, but we can cut 'em out and put 'em together pretty much to suit ourselves, and there's a heap more in the cuttin' and the sewin' than there is in the caliker...I've had a heap of comfort all my life making quilts, and now in my old age I wouldn't take a fortune for them." Debbie, what a perfect quilt for him. You found the perfect fabrics, and your design was quite creative. It's a great quilt! He's a darling young man, and what a beard for a 14 year old!
