Default Quilt Made for and Gifted to ME!!

(Sorry, this should have been in pictures.)

I'm sharing this incredibly special quilt with everyone as I just can't get over it!
Saturday was our daughter's wedding. We had a lot of fun, she was beautiful, they are happy.
During the reception, she took the microphone from the DJ and started talking about a project she'd worked on since December. Then she talked about our relationship. Then she gave me this quilt she made!
What you have to understand is that Katherine does not so much as sew on a button. But she bought a sewing machine, the tools, the fabric and watched a lot of YouTube videos.
I feel like a little kid with their blankie - I don't want to put it down!

Both photos are beautiful. Your daughter is such a pretty bride. Her dress is very feminine. The quilt is a LABOR OF LOVE.....Ask for the scraps that she has left over and turn that into a baby quilt. Hugs

That is one super special quilt! What a wonderful gift...how thoughtful to do this during such a busy time! WOW! And a beautiful couple, too! Enjoy your quilt from your daughter's heart.

I looked at the picture and thought that could be Keuka or Seneca. Had to go back and see where you are from. Beautiful bride and groom and you should be ever so proud of that quilt.

What a lovely bride she made and to think of you to make you a quilt on her wedding day.

That is one of the sweetest gifts I have ever heard told. The quilt is beautiful, & of course, the bride is also.
What a wonderful & thoughtful daughter you have.

I understand this feeling, what a special quilt. Love the idea of using the scraps to make a baby quilt for them.
Her dress is beautiful. It is so feminine and graceful.
