I made this quilt for my best ever friend. We've been friends for over forty five years and know exactly when we need to hear from each other. She made a trip to Arizona for a visit (she lives in North Carolina) this holiday weekend. Needless to say she was overwhelmed when I gave it to her and we hugged, laughed, cried and kissed.

The pattern is DOUBLE FRIENDSHIP STAR which I found on the internet somewhere. With my embroidered stars in the lilac squares, embroidered stars in the border and connecting star stitches, it was perfect. I hope you see my love for this incredible friend. I'm on the left.
