I'm so sorry for your loss. It's never easy. The quilt is gorgeous! I'm sure she's very proud! Would you mind telling us what the name of the pattern is?

Your quilt is just lovely. What a treasure for you to have with you in your sewing room. I applaud you for making such a heartfelt tribute to your sister and hope it brings you much comfort. My sister passed away 15 years ago and she was an avid quilter and was the main reason I got into quilting. We had so many hours of fun together sewing. Her children gave me most of her old fabric after her passing and it took me quite awhile before I could even go through it and look at it without turning into a jumbled mess every time I looked at the fabric. When I was finally ready, I had the best time making two quilts from the fabric. Just recently my niece gave me some fabric she said had belonged to her mom. When I opened the package she sent I was flooded with memories of so many great shopping trips and time spent with her at the cutting table.

Your sister is definitely smiling down at you!
