....well, I have been off work today as it's Good Friday, so have been over to my LQS for new rotary cutter blade, basting spray and batting.

Came home, made another Bakewell Tart, then got busy sewing, and have now finished the top my my own sofa quilt/throw. What do you think? I have also picked out the fabric that I want to use for the binding, I have just laid it out next to the edge of the quilt top for you all to see. I know it is a bit busy next to the gingham in the braided border, but I love it for some reason, and the whole thing is a bit of a mish mash and busy busy, so I think it goes fine! And the back will be plain, which kinda balances it out.

Wow Prettykitty - doesn't it feel good to finish something for yourself. I love colorful quilts and yours would look lovely on my couch or bed! Love the binding. Great quilt. :)

I think it is grand!
I always figure when a person is around a quilt, they need to see a bunch of things. There is the big picture, there are the smaller patterns, the blocks, the quilting that makes little figures to trace with fingers... and the binding that allows the cuddler to hold a piece of the quilt up really close because otherwise, they will miss the tiniest part of the whole atmosphere.
Yep! I think you got that all covered!
Cool! Thanks for sharing.
