A couple months ago, my aunt moved from her home into her son's (My cousin) home and he asked me to make a lap quilt for her. I made a Stack and Whack fan quilt and shipped it to her. My aunt can no longer live alone. My cousin's wife is on chemo so he has his hands full caring for them both. He asked me to also make a lap quilt for his wife. He went to the quilt shop and chose 2 pansy print fabrics himself and shipped them to me. Her favorite colors are purple and yellow. This is the quilt I made for her. The pattern is called Serafina and it's from the Spring 2011 issue of Fabric Trends magazine. The second picture is more true colors but you can get the idea.

This is a really pretty quilt and you have done a wonderful job. I hope it brings your SIL some comfort for her tough days ahead.

Beautiful quilt. I love the embroidery stitches. I like the fabrics he picked out & what you put with them!
