just before her 11 th birthday. Last year was a year of many unique experiences. We moved into a new home and we were blessed unexpectantly with several new children including a 19 year old new son by adult adoption and a precious 11 year old. Because her grand mother passed away she suddenly came into care with us. She has gone through alot and is an amazing pint size little girl that loves the color purple. I made her a purple baskets quilt for her 12 th birthday.

For whatever reason the picture does not show well.

Oh that is lovely. She will treasure it for a long time and treasure your family for taking her in and making her part of it.

We are all blessed by both our new now just turned 21 yr old son and 12 yr old daughter. The quilt means alot to her as she came from a back ground where she had no personal possessions or even a bed. I feel she was always meant to be my daughter it just took a long time for her to get home and the same for our new son.

Anna, It is beautiful! I think it is wonderful that you and your husband help these children. I love the fabric that you picked for this quilt, very lovely.
