Thank you. I love It when I find an old quilt my DGM made. I spent a lot of time with her while I was growing up so when i find something of hers it brings back a lot of fond memories.

Oh, I just love it. And notice there were no quilt police in those days. I love that our GM's didn't agonize over whether corners intersected properly or not. I had one from my GM when I was little, but somewhere along the way I think it got used for a mat on the ground for changing the oil in cars or something. I don't know where it went. My mother never appreciated those things. I guess she just took that handmade stuff for granted as that is all they had growing up. I still can remember its red and blue colors and scrappiness.

You are so lucky, what charm this has, I love scrappy, my kind of quilts! Thanks so much for sharing I love to see the older utility type quilts as these are my special favourites and I actually try to make mine like these on purpose! I love that often the quilter made up her own designs, with the fabric she had on hand.

What beautiful fabrics. And I'm glad the quilt came home to someone that will love it.

What I call a double love quilt - grandma made it with love and it warms you when you cuddle under it.
