Thanks everyone! The little yellow around the edge is a faux piped binding method I was trying. It worked really well except I messed up the join and didn't get the piping quite lined up right - hence the quilt label patch

Love the bright colours and that little bit of yellow just sets things off beautifully. Thanks for the link to the tutorial.
