I had this lovely floral material that I bought when I started quilting. Unfortunately, at that time I thought that fat quarters was like gold. The more the better! When I realized that I need much more, I had all this beautiful fat quarters and I don't know what to do with them. So I decided to make a sampler quilt. I started teaching a friend to quilt and I thought that sampler blocks would be the best way. So she stuck to a color theme, but I used my beautiful florals. I think you will understand if I say how terrible it felt to see this lovely materials getting smaller and smaller until there was nothing left. It brake my heart to cut them, but when I gave my mom the quilt and she started to cry, I know that it was worth it.

Completed quilt

It's a beautiful quilt! I wish my mom was still here for me to make her one, so you can be very thankful to have that experience and cherished memory of her joy upon receiving it.
