If you look closely at the quilt top, the pattern had the nine patches at the top and bottom of the quilt trimmed to fit the centre, I didn't like the look of chopped off squares so added the strip to either side to make the centre fit the top and bottom features. I also don't buy a lot of kits and this was the first one that I wasn't 100% happy with. I was lucky that there was enough fabric in the kit that I could make the adjustments.

Brenda I quilted this one myself, I wanted it to be a very personal gift. I quilt on a Pfaff Expressions 3.0 and this is done edge to edge style, but on a sit down machine not on a frame
