I managed to get to the show put on by Gems of the Prairie Quilt Guild of Peoria, IL, about an hour from home. It was a really nice show, over 500 items on display and a great selection of vendors. They held it at the Avanti Dome in Pekin, which is a sports arena. This was a great venue--huge and open, airy, good light, and fake turf flooring was easier on the feet than concrete after walking for hours looking at all the eye candy.
The view when you walked in...this was the right half of the arena, quilts to the left also!
Amazon Star in batiks, lovely

Challenge quilt, using two fabrics and adding at least one large word, this is "FINISH ME"
Ending with a laugh, another challenge quilt, "BIG FAT BLOCK." The back-end part of the figure had a circle of one challenge fabric puffed up with stuffing!
