this pattern (over the river and through the woods) calls for a flying geese boarder, I feel it would be much too busy and take away from all the embroidery, I am thinking of just putting on a plain boarder with cornerstone blocks....what would your vote be?

I think the flying geese would complement the pattern.

I think I would like the flying geese as well...or maybe some pieced stars in the border??

I agree...go with the flying geese in the border. I think they'd be perfect.

I have seen this completed, with the flying geese. It looks very nice. However, it is your quilt. :)

I think it looks fine as you have it now if it is going to be a wall hanging. If you want it bigger, then add another border. I don't have good results with flying geese, so am not much of a fan. However, they do look nice when other people do them.

I had to look up the pattern to see it with the flying geese and if it were my quilt I would finish it just where you have it now. In the picture the flying geese look too heavy-IMO. I really like the fabrics you have used.
