Ride'em Cowboy!!
I had 2 fat quarters of these cowboy prints and was unsure of what to do with them. So I went with a no waste pattern that I could stretch a little with red sashing to make it go a little further. The FMQ is off center as I was trying something new and found that it was not as easy as I thought it was going to be. I used safety pins on this one because I’m trying to get away from using the basting spray so much as I really think it is not healthy to breath and sometimes clean-up is difficult.
The little bag is just big enough to hold the quilt and a few extras but I am really pleased with the FMQ on it. I like the horseshoes, stars and boots theme. I just drew random shapes with a chalk pencil and did loopy loops to connect them.
I am really enjoying making the coiled pieces. This bowl is huge! I have no idea what it could be used for but I like it. The other item is a table ‘protector’ to set hot casserole dishes on your table. I’ve been using pretty big rope (3/8 inch) and it makes into some very sturdy items. All of these items will go in my craft show in October.
