Default Quilt top chosen for my class

Recently queried what to do for a beginning quilting class I will be teaching two co-workers. This is what I came up with after showing them some photos, to get a feel of their interest. It will finish about 41 inches square. I think this will fit the bill. Thoughts??

Maybe try the warm wished layout? This is a great beginner project.

It's very simple but should do well. I started my co-workers with the 10 minute table runner. :-)

Looks great and yet will be simple for beginners.
Will they be using the same fabric or will they choose their own?

I am not familiar with the warm wish layout, could you explain that? Search of this site came up empty.

They will be choosing their own fabric. I am excited to see what they choose. I know one will be a dog theme.

Looks very nice. Best to start simple so they can finish it and feel proud of their accomplishment.

It will be a good beginners project. You are very smart to give them some thing they can accomplish and in a decent time frame.
