These are two quilt tops that I have pieced for my grandsons. One is for my "green" grandson and the other for my "red" grandson. Going to try SID and then maybe FMQ in the blocks, not really sure yet. Since there are so many colors in the quilts, what would be a good color thread to use? I'm figuring on white or maybe ecru, any suggestions would be appreciated.

I bet they will love them.

I longarm and my most used color is grey. I have four shades and a light grey is the most used. Grey and camel are the two threads I use the most. For your quilt--grey

Great quilts, your grandsons will love them. I partial to the red one as I was raised in the "Red Power" family.

Nice quilts. I would use the green or red solid thread (according to the quilt color) for the STID and a green or red varigated rayon for the FMQ. I just did that on my grandson's Navy quilt and it worked out well. I had to use invisible thread for the STID, but used blue varigated for the FMQ.

The LA quilter here usually uses a dull gold tone and it seems to make everything look quite rich, even when it's on white. Great job on the quilt tops!

Wow, these are beautiful quilts. Love how you use the different theme fabrics. Good job. What size are they?
