Default Quilt for wedding

This quilt is for my grandson and his bride to be. This was my first attempt at actually following a pattern. It is not perfect but it is the best I could do. Just got it back from the quilters. It took me a month to make. Then from an old pillow sham for a sample, I made the shams. I really like the medallion pattern. The top fabric I bought a the Nine Patch in Effingham, Ill. The backing, I bought at the Paducah, Kentucky show.

Very very nice! I'm sure your grandson will love it! What is the name of the pattern?

Great job! Love the details, and yes, the shams are great. Did they pick the colors or is it a surprise?

The "best that you could do" is just wonderful! What a great gift this will be. Love the shams, too.

Looks like you did a wonderful job! I've never used a pattern. I just do scrappys and whatever I make up. I guess my avatar is the first and only real pattern I've done. The apple core.

It's the Holiday Medallion free pattern from www.robertkaufman.com . I just used different fabric than suggested.
