I tried the bethlehem star and it didnt work! I must have cut the 45 degree angle!! So not to waste the fabric i just peiced it this way its not great but it will work for me!

And any advice that you have to offer I will take!!! lol

I think that is pretty darn cool looking. It really has an optical illusion effect going like it is in motion, spiraling. I, for one, am really glad you said "what the heck" and went ahead and finished it.
