I'm making an Eagle in my quilt without corners a little different than how it looks in the book called Quilts without Corners Encore. I wanted mine to look more like a Bald Eagle. I will be adding more pictures as I finish it. I have the eye to put into place, than I can start working on the border.

Side view, I padded the white on the head

Quilts without Corners Encore is on phillipsart.com website. I got the pattern in there. Then I just got a real good picture and did some applique to make my eagle have a white head and the tail was made from white rather than the brown gradation fabric.

Wow! That is beautiful. I love what you did with this. I love how you did fringy edges on the feathers ending the eagle's white head. It looks like you may have done that on the wingtip feathers as well but I can't tell for sure by your pictures.

I have the ruler but I did not yet buy the book. Your eagle has inspired me.
