I created this quilt a few years ago for my sister. It is a 'blue work' machine embroidered quilt. I couldn't believe how quickly each square embroidered out!!
The machine embroidery designs are from Martha Pullen entitled: Antique Bonnet Children.
This was one of the first quilts I ever attempted so it most certainly is not perfect. I tried to cover up my faux pas by adding sunbonnet hats to the borders that I accidentally cut too wide. I Didn't discover that until it was too late! ooopppssss....
I look at it now and cringe and know I would have added different fabric for the bonnets for some contrast.. oh well, practice makes perfect as they say. I think my skills have improved some and that's what it's all about! :-D
Despite the boo boos I hope you enjoy it. :-D

What a great idea to use the bonnets in the corners! Very cute!

The quilt show I was at this weekend (Windsor, Ontario) had quite a few quilts with 'blue work' - I like it much better than 'red work'! Your quilt looks great :)
