I have company from England. My nephew, his wife and son. They came for two weeks and spent Thanksgiving with us.

Right after Thanksgiving, I decided to put the tree up early. As I put my tree shirt down, I heard a gasp. Heather, (nephew's wife), was saying how beautiful it was etc, etc etc....don't you know, you just have to give it to her, she was so in love with it lol.

I have another skirt in works from 3 or so years ago, different but nice all the same but I have to sew the piping down. It's a stained glass effect and so much sewing down lol...but I will have to finish it now right?

I made this skirt out of one of my books. The hearts are crazy patched and the star in the middle. Everything was quilted on my Janome using gold embroidery thread and the embroidery stitches.

This is lovely. And, how nice of you to share your beautiful work with your NIL. Of course, this does give you the opportunity to make more ;)

WOW - This is gorgeous and no, there was just NO way you could refrain from giving it to Heather! I, too, have been caught in that particular quandary!

That is so thoughtful of you!! I bet she was shocked when you offered it to her! That makes for such a special gift! :)

Yes she was, she was speechless for a few seconds...but that brings great joy to me to know that my work is appreciated.
