Do you have a little Cajun in you? The old Cajuns were known for using every scrap of every thing! My grandmother's family would say, "you've found a use for the squeal." When Cajuns butchered, they used every bit of the pig (or whatever) except the squeal. So they said this when someone found a way to use up a "useless" item. It was a big compliment for someone to say it.

Thanks so much for this idea. I have friends who save selveges for me and some of them are too skimpy to even put a seam in so this is just another way I can still make use of them. Thanks so much!

I bought a whole box of scraps off ebay about a week ago and the whole box was selvages. I don't use them, anybody want them??? $12.00 for postage. PM me if interested. This is a great idea but don't have time and I'm trying real hard to stay focused on my projects and ot get sidetracked.
