I have set a goal to make a quilt for each of my grandchilren; if my kids would quit having kids, I may be able to finish my project! Grandchild #17 arrived two weeks ago.
The yellow/lavendar/pink quilt is very loosely based of Glenna Hailey's pattern "ohmystars" which is free online. All of the flowers are dimensional, and I found all patterns on the internet by googling "fabric flowers." I used vintage buttons from my mom's button box and added squares that reflect Brenna's heritage.
The "Toby" quilt is from a pattern at Quiltville called "Strip Twist Quilt." The letters are paper-pieced, pattern by Carol Doak.

This quilt now lives in Saudi Arabia

Wow, 17 grandchildren would be great. We have none! The quilts are beautiful. Thank you for sharing.

Wow! Great Quilts, Hopefully they'll slow down enough for you to catch up to the 17 you have :)

I thought I had plenty grandchildren with 7! The last three were born within 16 months of each other, so they had me pretty busy, too. But 17.....I don't think we'll see that many, but who knows? I'm just glad I don't have to keep up with you or your grands!

Those quilts sure are pretty. If they keep having children, you can try to keep up by not making them so pretty--use big chunks of fabric and don't worry about color. We called them utility quilts, remember? :-)

The colors in the first one are lovely! Love the scrappy one also, the name is a great idea.
