I finally got two of the quilts I've made (quilted by someone else) out of the closet and put them on 2 of our beds. I'm a bit disappointed though. They aren't that warm. They are kind of stiff too. Was it the batting that was used? They seem kind of thin.

Those are beautifal. I love the fabrics. And yes it must have been the batting used.

Wash them. That may make the stiffness go away for you.

Great idea!! I'll do that today. BTW, can I use a color catcher more than once? Or are they a 1 time use thing?

You can use them more than once, but I would put two or three in, especially if you didn't wash the fabric first.

Also, you could still back the quilt with fleece for extra warmth, sew it round the edges just behind the binding, and tie it onto your quilt

They are really nice--why did you have them in the closet? I don't know what you used for batting but I can tell ya I pull up a quilt when I am cold and instantly I am warm.
