Does anyone else use quilts to wrap presents? Here's how I wrapped my niece's Diaper Genie, with the "Tummy Time" quilt for her baby! She did give it back to me to label it after the big event in 6 weeks or so!

I like it ! Haven't used a quilt to wrap a present, but I have made a matching tote to put the quilt in & gave as a gift.

I'm giving my quilts away in a matching pillowcase. Sometimes there are two pllowcases, if I have enough fabric.

Wow you are very generous. When it comes to quilts I gift, the quilt IS the present. I would never dream of using it as wrapping because to me it is way more valuable then that. I love the craft but I do invest a LOT of time, effort and expense making a quilt. With the cost of fabric being what it is, I would want the recipient to value it as much as I do and using it as wrapping tends to give the impression the quilt is just a disposable after thought. Thanks for your comment, I know exactly what you mean about not valuing quilts enough. The quilt was the talk of the baby shower and I don't like to spend money on wrapping paper so this fit me! I have another version of the quilt that's more boy themed because we don't know the sex of this baby! We'll see which one she gets when the baby's born! Her sister's baby got the purple version last month when her baby was born!

I have not used a Quilt but I have a couple of 1 yd fabric pieces sewing together that I use and reuse with the kids. I can not see giving them to anybody else but will use them in my family. I also have used kitchen hand towels and chip bag clips to hold the towels onto gifts. The towel and clips are also part of the gift. I try to find something that the recipient would like/need and use that as the wrapping. That way I do not have to use paper or bags.
