Default Quilts for Ronald McDonald House

The Ronald McDonald House at our large hospital has just had a major extension with 25 rooms added, the social worker contacted a local patchwork group to see if they would be interested in making quilts and bed runners for the new rooms. That patchwork group contacted my patchwork group (its a small area and everyone knows everyone) to see if we would be interested in sharing the workload. The requirements were 50 inch square quilts and bed runners 24 by 64 inches and they must match. So this is my contribution. All fabric has come from my stash, wish I could see a dent but sadly I can't These will be delivered this week.
    Thank you for looking

The things you made are lovely - but the size requirements seem sort of odd to me.

What purpos do the bed runners serve? (Besides decoration)

Beautiful work!! I just love the third quilt set. They remind me of Billie Lauder. That block is on my bucket list. You are very generous.

bearisgray the quilts and bed runners are to decorate or "dress" the rooms, there is a double bed and a single bed to each room. The quilts will be centred on the double bed and the bed runner will be on the single bed. I hope that makes sense.
Both of these patchwork groups that I support make quilts that go directly to the oncology and childrens ward at the hospital and these quilts are given to sick children to keep.
