I could say your either mad or a genius...but I would be joking. Anybody that can make a piece like that and the blocks end up being 1/8 of an inch, has got to be extreeeeemely talented.
It's not about if somebody could learn to do it, it's about what it would do to your brain, your hands and arms and not to mention your eyeballs would fall out!!!
oh my goodness, I am just in awe of your work. I have always loved, loved, loved miniature things, since I was three years old and got a dollhouse for Christmas,...a book there, but that's where the fascination started. Incredible patience and talent is what you have, my lady

Thank you for all the nice things they do wonders for my ego!! I sometimes say that 's why I do it to boost my selfesteem!!!
I'm just obsessed with color and design and I have to feed the monster!!
I see the world in geometrics all the time! every where I go! Lots of ideas and I freguently forget most of them if I don't write them down!! That's what being over 50- does to you!

Just a note about the 1/8" blocks. The great thing about sewing them by hand at that size you only have about three stitches when you join two blocks and they don't take very long to do! I used to take hand sewing with me to the hospital alot and now I'm addicted to my Singer and it doesn't travel!

I've never seen a Dear Jane quilt so I don't know. I don't make big quilts any more but I take the ideas and miniaturize them for small projects. I've been looking for ideas for tote bags and have made a few but I'm always on the lookout for new ideas. I prefer to add as much variety to my stuff as possible. I'm easily Bored!!!
I'll have to check it out!! Thanks for the idea!!

I intended to post these when I did the other pictures but I must have gotten distracted(Happens a lot!!LOL) and never added them! You can see the twins in my avatar picture. They are 5 now. Devon is dark haired and Daymon is blonde. They are my youngest grandchildren.
I embroidered first names of all of his immediate family up to great grandparents on each quilt

This is a quilt top I made several years ago to sell but couldn't bring myself to part with it. It is still only a top I quess I unconsiously thought if I don't finish it I don't have to feel quilty for keeping it!!
Sorry the pictures are a little fuzzy they aren't digital but you can still see the detail
A lot of the hearts are appliqued on with a herringbone embroidery stitch
