I really like it a lot. I think the colors all blended well together. Good job.

Very attractive. I think the colors work well. The quilt is very eye catching. I would love to claim it as one of my quilts. Good job. Lots of times I start with a vision and it changes. Good job. Keep your quilt.

I love your quilt! I know what you mean about mystery quits, I just finished my first one and I don't love my color choices. I too need to see a finished quilt. I have been working on a quilt for my niece for three years now. I don't care for the pattern or the colors she choose so I have a hard time working on it. I need to bite the bullet and make myself finish it so it won't be hanging over my head any more.

I think your mystery quilt came out quite nice. Having a bad experience of color placement with a guild mystery challenge (absolutely no hints to light/dark placement)....I'll wait until I see the quilt finished and make up my mind to do it in whatever colors I choose. I've got way too many projects to waste my time on a huge mystery quilt.....just me...

what an interesting thread!
I can see both sides of this whole thing.
In the first quilt, I like it, but think i'd like it even better if the colors contrasted a little more.
Boston, I love the red and pink, and if someone had gotten both the green and the red, wow...put them
together...zowie.
Now, who was it that got the quilt top and added and it sold...I love that one!
My theory, as i KNOW this is true of me and it really, really keeps me from sewing more:
I think we want every single quilt we make to be a stunner.
Some of them are just going to be utility quilts, lessons learned and "almost there" quilts.
Having said that, unless I need one of those, I don't "want" one of those.
I want all my money, time and yes, my heartfelt feelings to turn out a masterpiece, lol.
Silly mousie...guess I want it all
