My sister's single step-daughter had a baby girl about 2 weeks ago and will be coming up for a visit in a week or so. So I got out all my scraps of flannel and threw together a quick quilt.

Since she is going it alone as a single parent, I wanted her to have a cuddly washable quilt.

I turned out a lot better than ever expected (and so soft). I hope Ava Noelle likes it.

It is great when (single parents) can take what life has dealt and still succeed!

Ava was born in January, so not too long after Christmas.
