I have mostly gotten away from "girl" and "boy" baby quilts. Now I just make them colorful and bright in general, and that works well for either sex.

That's a great idea. The quilt is very cute, and the idea of a flannel back makes it even cozier. I love blue, so it looks wonderful to me!
