I had this flannel sitting in my stash for quite a few years...decided to make a rag quilt.....I also went through my scraps last week need to dwindle them down a bit..and pulled out the minky scraps.....as expensive as that stuff is I wanted to use it......I put together a patch work quilt...couldn't get anything to line up......then decided to try another with borders around the minky..it isn't perfect...but it feels nice..I backed it with flannel.

Those are gorgeous Charismah, nut I have to ask what is the world in "Minky"? Is that like a faux fur type of fabric with a short nap?

Yes..Minky is the faux fur stuff..this is two different grades..one was like 20$ a yard and the other was 15$..so I couldn't waste it....but extremely hard to sew because it is so slick and stretchy....doesn't sew well..Usually people just use it to back their quilts.

Thank you for the help!! I thought that was what it was but sometimes you have to ask to make sure. I was thinking about using Micro suede to make a quilt just a simple rows of squares or something like that in a few different colors for my BIL as a lap quilt. But as usual it is on the back burner with a million other projects LOL!!

But you did an awesome job on both!!
