I just had a conversation with another quilter the other day about this exact kind of quilt. 2 questions. Did you use a solid flannel fabric for the backing AND did you use batting?

This is super cute, love the bows, you see them first then the bears. Great job. I also like rag quilts made with fleece, they still curl but don't ravel which is great for the littler ones to lay on.

just wanted to add, I've done them with different themes on front and back. for little ones I've used fleece and made appliques for texture and put on them. I've also seen them done in the shapes of animals. Last yr there was a turtle shaped one at the quilt show. Come to think of it, a rag quilt would be great shaped like a Christmas tree. You could add little blocks and make it an advent calendar. Ok, I need to stop. I'm at work and now all I want to do is go home and create.

Nice bright flannels for a toddler. Great job. I have yet to make one, but they look so cuddly.

I never do a solid back--usually the same fabrics front and back. However, now and then, when I'm feeling brave, I make a whole different pattern on the back with different fabrics. It can be tricky and requires planning ahead. ;-) I posted other ragged made for my grands in the past few months. One set has different fabrics on the back.
