This is what I put together today. I wish I had swiched, the dark blue and white, think it would have looked better.

I think it look real nice. If you want more of the dark blue in it, perhaps add a border same size as your strips. It would look great.

I don't know the theory of where things look best in the rail fence. It does look very nice as it is because of your colors.
