After about 10 years I picked up quilting agaiin to make a quilt for my girls school auction fundraiser. I had the kids in Saras kindergarten class draw a self portrait with fabric marker and then sewed it up into a quilt. This is the finished quilt.

The other quilt features fabrics handpicked by Annie. I sewed the top together and it sat for many many years. Just recently I pulled it out again. Annie turned her nose up at the colors. But Mary fell in love with it. So I had it quilted and it now graces her bed. The colors are crazy bright and cheery, just like her.

love the quilts, and enjoyed the story. Just like kids, to pick something, then later change their mind.
I have one, that is grown, and insists that I always ate the ears off their chocolate rabbits, before putting in E. baskets!...even after older sister, said, I would remember better than you, and that did not happen...ever! kids, we love 'em anyways. :D
