I love the fabrics too. I purchased the large flowers first with no quilt in mind. I knew I wanted to make something with red, black, and white because I love that color combination. Then I saw this pattern and knew it was "the one." So then I went back and purchased the smaller flowers. The rest was easy.

BTW, I admired the "roses," when I was in the fabric store. The store owner, who seems surprisingly unfriendly, informed me that they were renunculous (sp?). Her tone was so disdainful it was downright funny. I love her store, but she hovers so much, I always feel like she's trying to get rid of me. Business must be good is all I can say.

It is truly beautiful. What is the overall size of the quilt?

The quilt is full-sized. Thank you all so much for your kind comments.

No, I don't think the woman is lonely. She follows me around as if she expects me to steal something. Like maybe I'll stuff a bolt of fabric down my jeans?

Wow -- I'd like to see that -- someone stuffing a bolt of fabric in their jeans AND managing to walk!!!
