    Default Leftover Blues

Several years ago my DD's BFF got married. I'd always promised her that I'd make her quilt & she requested a vintage-looking traditional patterned one for her wedding gift. I'd had Eleanor Burns' "Log Cabin in a Day" book for eons but never made one so I decided to used that pattern, unbleached muslin & a variety of vintage reproduction indigo fabrics for Gretchen's quilt. I got carried away & made too many blocks, thus having leftovers. I decided these would make a nice QOV so I whipped up a lap-sized top & my LA'er did a FABULOUS job of quilting feathers in the muslin part of the blocks. I called it "Leftover Blues" & hope that it's warming the heart & body of an injured troop to this day. It's nothing fancy but I kind of liked it & thought I'd show it to you (so y'all know that I actually produce quilts from time to time... LOL!).
