I keep anything I can cut into 2 inch squares and I do so for my MIL as well...My MIL has made several scrappy quilts with them. You can use them for borders or shashes between blocks...Here is one that my MIL made from mostly 2 inch squares...you wouldn't think that this is made of something most people throw away but it truly was...very little fabric was cut to be specifically used in this quilt...its was scraps. Everyone keeps what they can or give it away..I love to share but love to have enough on hand that I can go to my stash closet and pull enough variety of fabric to do almost any project I want. BTW...my MIL gave us this quilt and it hangs in our bedroom

Beautiful! I keep thinking of all the scraps I have trashed. Will never do that again. However, can't imagine just sewing and sewing and sewing those little 2" squares. Someone posted a comment that she keeps little 2" beside her sewing machine at all times. She will just go buy and sew a few together when she has a few minutes and needs some down time. After awhile she begins to have a decent collection. I might could do THAT!

Your quilt is truly stunning!!

Beautiful quilt! I love to see quilts made from material that others might not bother even keeping.

wow, that's amazing! I just started saving 2 1/2 " strips that I cut in squares and tuck them away in baggies for a rainy day...
