Default Ring around the posey quilt

I have just completed a HS graduation quilt for a granddaughter, and she hasn't even started her senior year yet. When she told me that she wanted orange and blue in her quilt, it took awhile to come up with something. And then I found the pattern Ring Around the Posey by Jinny Beyer Studio. I changed how I put the block together, eliminating some seams. I did SID in the body of the quilt, and did some FMQ in the borders. It measures 65x100 and I know that the proportions are not correct, but I had extra blocks and worked them in. Waste not, want not.

The next one is a close up of the corner and borders and my FMQ. Not perfect, but getting better. Excuse the soap lines by the FMQ. I haven't washed the quilt yet.

Great quilt! Nice touch using the paisley as the binding.
