I'd say your experiment was a success. Very pretty. I am in love with this quilt. Thanks for all the info on making one.

That is really pretty and the first one of the Jelly race quilts I have liked, must be the ruffle. I don't have a serger and don't know how to do a rolled hem, any other suggestions for finishing the edge of a ruffle?

I wonder if a satin stitch on a sewing machine would work. You may have to use a stabilizer under it. You could try it on a scrap first. A very narrow hem would work, too. Thanks for the compliment.
