    S is for Snowman, Redwork

Here is a little hand embroidered redwork snowman that I completed recently. It's the "S" block from the Snowmen A to Zzzz pattern from Crabapplehill designs. I used a plain old stem stitch to do this. I was troubled on how I was going to finish it. I've been on the fence about mixing hand work with machine quilting. And I just put a plain old checkerboard around it to frame it. I like it after all.

That is one of the cutest ones I've seen recently. Checkerboard border really is a plus in this case.

I think mixing the hand and machine worked turned out just wonderfully!

    I like it a lot
A balanced quilter is one with a project on each finger
    Eat, quilt, sleep, repeat

Nobody is completely useless, you can always serve as a bad example

Love redwork and love snowmen. Yours is just adorable! I must dig out my redwork stuff. Thanks for the inspiration. Bird Brain Desing is a great site for Redwork too... http://www.birdbraindesigns.net/
If you don't work on it you'll never finish it.

    Very nicely done. Love it.
I don't want to brag but I can still fit into the earrings I wore in high school.
