Default Sailboat quilt complete with wavy borders! :)

Here is another charity quilt ready for our Christmas give-away. I even put wavy borders on it! Not really. That is a problem I've got to work on.....

But it's pretty. I like it.

Nice quilt! Sometimes you will get a wavy border no matter what you do. My last quilt I measured across the middle in several directions, eased where I needed to, used my walking foot and all was good until I spread it out on the floor after hand sewing the binding to the back. Yep, wavy border. I think I need to remove the binding and pull it tight as I sew it to the quilt to pull in the edge a little. Am I going to pick out the hand stitching and re-sew the the binding again? Nope, I figure with all that handling and re-sewing it will just get worse. Done is better than perfect!

I love your quilt. The fabrics are perfect for water and sky. And the border looks like it's wet! How fun. How nice of you to donate it.

Yes, the border is droplets of water.

Beautiful quilt. Border fabric is perfect as it looks like the quilt center is surrounded by bubbling water. Great job. Thanks for sharing.
