I watched the video too; I didn't like all the other chatter they had going on. just wanted to get the directions for the block. I wrote down the measurements and directions as she went ; but then part way through she made mistakes. She did mention that the block measured about 15". So I guess I will have to get one made and see for sure.

I watched the video too and then put the block in EQ. I came out with a 15" block, like PurplePassion. You really shouldn't have much squaring up to do if the fabrics are cut to the right sizes. Is it possible that you wrote some of the dimensions down wrong? I'm going to a retreat and need a nice easy project to work on, so I'm thinking about making this one.

Yes, use that larger one on the back. Looking good.

I think the original post had a link to an actual pattern?

Thanks to all for the posts and info. I agree about the chatter on the video, it was overwhelming, but then she was also working with a live audience. I never did hear her say how big the block should turn out. I thought that I had written all down right, but just 1 wrong measure will mess things up. I am happy with my smaller block, and have some material, that I have been wanting to fussy cut for something like this, so that is my plan. Thanks again, all, always so much info from all of you.

I am so glad you posed this thread... I had forgotten I had started this last November. I watch the video, took notes and them type up a tute to follow....then I watched the Vedic again to check my notes and stetches Eleanors pattern is cut from 13 fat quarters plus background fabric. My blocks are 15-1/2 unfinished, I have 11 made..wondering why I did not finished the last one...now on top of my list .

Will be looking for your photo of your quilt and hope you enjoy making these blocks .
