I would do the 1/4" outline straight stitch inside each section. I do a lot of that and like the way it looks. It compliments your design also.

No ideas on quilting, but really a neat quilt.

Oh, lots of great ideas! I checked the blogs and websites suggested... all great ideas. I think I'll take Narda's advice and go stare at it for a while. We'll see if it speaks to me... but I'm thinking I hear big flowers... I could be wrong. I promise I'll post when it's done!

I think I would do a loopy meander with an added motif that echos the pattern in the border fabric. It sort of reminds me of a crysanthamum. There is also that daisy on some of the fabric which might be easier to make. The yellow solids would be good placement area. Isn't it hard to figure out the quilting patterns? My talents are so limited that I have to do something really basic.

I like your quilt. Love the colors and simplicity. Why not do straight line quilting just to be safe? You could follow the blocks and just sew on those lines. You would have to sew over some blocks to keep the straight lines going but that's ok. When it is finished, it will be beautiful. If that is too simple, then do something different for the border. Mark your quilt to do this and follow the markings. You can also use painters tape for guides on your straight lines. Good luck and I hope to see it finished.
