This is something I have tried with my Longarm.
Hope the pics turn out.
I used a half feathered wreath around the outside border, then just cutting around the wreath gives you the scallops, no messing around measuring it out.
Finding a plate that would fit or a tool I can't understand.

The heart pattern is a digital pattern on my Statler.
I went computerized a year ago, and I did a similar pattern and I had a really funny name for it, but probably not one to share.
there are a lot of bumps up and down when you do that all free hand. I know!
